We bind ourselves & each of us One & each of our heirs & family by these presents Sealed w'th Our Seals & Dated this 4th Day of September 1787. The condition of the above obligation is Such that whereas there is a marriage Shortly Intended to be had & Solemnized between the above Bound Jno Barty & Dicey Kerby. Now if there Shall be no Lawful Cause to object said marriage then this Obligation to be Void Else to remain in force. John Bartee L.S. his Frances (X) Kirby L.
