Know all Men by these Presents that we John Barty and Frances Kerby are held and firmly Bound unto Edmond Randolph Esqr Governor or Chief Majistrate of the State of Virginia in the Sum of Fifty Pounds to be Paid unto the Said Edmund Randolph or to his Successors. We bind ourselves & each of us One & each of our heirs & family by these presents Sealed w'th Our Seals & Dated this 4th Day of September 1787.
					The condition of the above obligation is Such that whereas there is a marriage Shortly Intended to be had & Solemnized between the above Bound Jno Barty & Dicey Kerby. Now if there Shall be no Lawful Cause to object said marriage then this Obligation to be Void Else to remain in force.

Virginia in the Just & full sum of Fifty pounds Current money of Virginia to us 
binds payment well and Justly to be made unto the said Edmund Randolph or his 
Successors. we bind ourselves & each of us & each of our heirs Executors 
Administrators & singly & severally, firmly by these Presents Sealed with our 
seals & Dated this 14th Day of Jan'y 1789.
			The Condition of this obligation is such that whereas there is 
a Marriage Shortly intended to be had & Solemnized Between Moses Potter & 
Frances Kirby ...  Now if there Shall be no Lawful Cause to obstruct the said 
marriage then this above obligation to be void or else to remain in full force
