Starr Family Cemetery near Starrsville, Newton County, Georgia
Take Highway 36 south from Covington for 3 to 4 miles, then turn left
onto State Road 213. Go beyond the road to Starrsville community of
Starrsville, and at
the intersection of SR 213 and Dixie Road, you will see a marker for
the old Starrsville store and in the field on the north side of Dixie
Road is the cemetery. Continue on 213 then take the
driveway to the house. That drive forks and to the
lane leading into the pasture goes to the cemetery. Photos were taken

Silas Starr stone:
"Nov. 7, 1782 Dec. 17, 1857 In him were blended all
the elements of the perfect man and Christian."
Elizabeth Starr stone:
"Wife of Silas Starr, Born Aug. 10, 1780, Died May 3, 1856. She was
___ ___ in Israel."
Silas H. Starr Sr.,
son of Silas and Elizabeth [Kain]
Three stones of
which
the middle is for S. H. Starr Jr., son of Silas Sr. and Ann Jane
[Dabney]. The stone for his third wife, Nannie [Childs], is to the
left. His first two wives are buried by the white marble stones you can
see behind his monument.

Eliza Leak stone:
"To
the memory of Eliza Leak, wife of G. W. Leak & Daughter of S. and
Elizabeth Starr. Born 1st Sept. 1811 Died 9th June 1836.
