Margaret P. Rankin and } Anderson County }

Eliza B. Rankin } Know all Men by these Presents, That We Margaret P.

To } Rankin and Eliza. B. Rankin in the State aforesaid,

Wilson N. Rankin } Anderson County in consideration of the sum of Three Thousand Two Hundred and Seventy Dollars to us paid by Wilson N. Rankin in the State aforesaid, Anderson County, have granted, bargained, sold, and released, and by these Presents do grant, bargain, sell, and release unto the said Wilson N. Rankin all that tract or parcel of land Situated in the State and County aforesaid on waters of Twenty Three miles Creek, containing Three Hundred and Twenty Seven Acres, more or less, beginning on a Rock ..... on bank of Branch thence down said branch .... Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging, or in anywise incident or appertaining. To have and to Hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said Wilson N. Rankin his Heirs and Assigns, forever, And We do hereby bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Wilson N. Rankin, his Heirs and Assigns, against us and our Heirs, and against all other person or persons lawfully claiming, or to claim the same, or any part thereof.

558 of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty and in the one hundred and Fifth year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.
