Harry Starr enlisted in the US Army and served in the Spanish-American War. During his service he acquired souvenir photographs of the American miliary presence in Cuba. Harry was not the photographer; it appears a many named R. Wray created these images. Most of the pictures below appear to have been taken at or in the vicinity of the historic El Morro castle/fortress (begun in 1589) overlooking Havana harbor.

No details about the identies of personnel or military units and their activities depicted here is available. Such information from readers will be welcomed.
