Pendleton District }
Know all Men by these Presents that I Soloman BoatnerState of South Carolina }
of the District and state aforesaid for and in Consideration of three hundred and fifty dollars to me paid by George Rankin of the District and state aforesaid have Granted Bargained Sold and Released and by these presents do Grant Bargain Sell and Release unto the said George Rankin a Certain Tract of land Containing Two hundred and Thirty Eight Acres more or less lying and situated on the West Branch of the Twenty three Mile Creek waters of Savannah River Seventy Eight acres of it was Granted to said Boatner in the year 1808 by his Excellency John Drayton Then Governor and the remainder said Boatner Bought from Andrew Warnock as will appear by a deed Given by said Warnock to him, and is Bounded by Lands that William Newton Isaac Newton and David Milton now lives on and by Lands surveyed for David Walker. Together with all and singular the Rights Members Heriditaments and appertenances to the said premises Belonging or in anywise Incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and Singular the premises before Mentioned unto the said George Rankin his Heirs and assigns for ever and I do hereby bind my Self my Heirs Executors Administrators to warrant and for ever defend all and Singular the said Premises unto the said George Rankin his Heirs and assigns against my self and my Heirs and against any person whomsoever Lawfully claiming or to claim

the same or any part thereof. In witness whereof I do hereby give under my hand and affix my Seal this Twelvth day of December and in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighteen and in the forty third year of American Independence

for the Said District do Certify unto all whom it may Concern that Mary Boatnur the wife of the within named Soloman Boatnur did this day appear before me and upon being remotely and separately Examined by me did declare that she does Voluntaryly and without any Compulsion dread or fear of any person or persons whomever ____ Release and forever Relinquish unto the within named George Rankin her Heirs and assigns all her Interest and Estate and also all her Right and claim of Dower of in or to all and Singular the premises within Mentioned and ReturnedMary (her X mark) Boatner
